Carolyn Hudson and her husband Albert are the Founders of Mighty Oaks Global Initiatives. This year (2018) they celebrate 14 years of ministry in Northern Thailand. Before retirement, in the year 2000, Carolyn, as an educator, taught and cared for Special Needs children for 27 years. Her experience included all ages of children who were deaf, visually-impaired, physically-impaired, and multi – handicapped. Her last 15 years were as a Principal at W. Ross MacDonald School for Visually-impaired. This was Carolyn’s first journey of experiencing ‘the impossible made possible with Christ’. Carolyn and Albert celebrated 53 years of marriage, July-2018. They have enjoyed the blessing of a son and two daughters which have extended to their spouses and nine beautiful grandchildren.
Jane and Dan have been married since 1985 and have 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. For 36 years Jane worked as an RPN. In her spare time, she volunteered for Samaritan's Purse in many different roles. She has been an invaluable resource and volunteer for Mighty Oaks since 2014.
Gwen Carter lives in Norwood with Jason her husband, and their 3 children. They have been sponsors with Mighty Oaks from the beginning. Gwen and her girls went to Thailand in 2015. She has been increasingly involved with Mighty Oaks since that time.
Married to Jodi. Has been married since 2005 and has two children.
Adam owns and operates a plumbing company. He has become involved with Mighty Oaks through his wife Jodi. Together they take care of the fundraising and seek out new fundraising opportunities.
